Friends and neighbors!

Have you ever wondered what Long Beach does to assist the homeless needing health care, finding housing, and gaining employment?  Well, here is the answer: The Long Beach Multi-Service Center.  The Multi-Service Center is a comprehensive facility that offers assistance to those who are homeless and seeking to improve their situations. You are invited to join us on a FoBS field trip to the LB Multi-Service Center, when we will be given a rare opportunity to tour it in person!  I know you will be impressed.

FoBS April 3rd meeting: Many homes and businesses are approaching their 100 year anniversaries this year. On that note, on April 3rd, FoBS will feature Maureen Neeley, M.L.I.S, a local reference historian.  She will give us a brief look at the beginnings of our beloved Belmont Shore and the unique architecture of our homes.

In addition, Tom Barnes, from B & B Antique Hardware, will unveil the first prototype of historical plaques residents can purchase for their homes, which display the year their house was built.  At the April 3rd meeting, Tom will take orders for those plaques. The cost, including shipping and tax is $200 CASH.

Also on the April 3rd agenda:

Kristina Duggan, Third District Councilmember

Heather Kern, BSBA Executive Director

Matt Peterson, Parking Commission Chairman

See you on Second Street!

BJ Newell

FoBS President
