Doors open at 6!
Maureen Neeley is a local reference librarian and the owner of HouStories Consulting. She will present an overview of the beginnings of Belmont Shore, including lot configurations and our local architecture. She will answer questions like: What was the plan for Belmont Shore? Why Second Street? Who were some notable residents? What were some of the original businesses back then?
Tom Barnes, proprietor of B& B Antique Hardware, will unveil the first prototype of the Belmont Shore historical plaque available for interested Belmont Shore homeowners. Each plaque is specially cast to display the year your house was built. Orders can be placed with Tom at the meeting, so if interested, bring $200 in cash to the meeting. Tax and shipping included in that price.
Also on the agenda, we are proud to include:
Kristina Duggan - Third District Councilmember
Heather Kern - Executive Director of BSBA
Matthew Peterson - BS Parking Commission
Join us Saturday April 5th for a Bay Clean Up and Beautification planting project, as part of the Adopt-a-Beach program. Meet us on 54th Place and Ocean, across from the Basketball Courts, 9 AM. Free coffee and breakfast goodies for all participants!
